Saif joins Ash, Sonam and Freida at Cannes…

Saif Ali Khan is all set to head to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival this month. He will be there to promote a global luxury brand.
Also present at Cannes this year again will be Aishwarya Rai, walking the red carpet for the tenth consecutive year, Freida Pinto, who will attend the American Foundation for AIDS Research dinner and after-party on May 19 and Sonam Kapoor, a newbie at Cannes.
As per schedule, May 11th will see the very gorgeous Aishwarya will walk the red carpet. It also happens to be the opening ceremony of the festival. Sonam will be seen on May 15th.
Coming back to Saif, off late, he has been very busy shooting for Agent Vinod, which is his home production. He will be seen opp his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in the flick.

Duggu makes it to academic book based on Indian Cinema…

Hrithik Roshan will feature in an academic book based on Indian Cinema. Written by Nandana Bose, an assistant professor for the Department of Film Studies, at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington NC, U.S.A, the subject of the book will be his body. The chapter focuses on how Hrithik has worked on his body, starting from his debut to now.

According to sources, “The writer, Bose, is speaking to various filmmakers who have worked with him and then penning an entire chapter on him. The chapter focuses on how Hrithik has worked on his body, starting from his debut to now. The book also chronicles the decisive changes in the way the male body is represented on the Indian screen. The chapter will draw from scenes in Jodhaa Akbar, Krrish, Dhoom 2, etc.”

The source further adds that, “the book will be made available to all the students to know about Hrithik’s journey and the way he has gone about his character.”

This is indeed an achievement….

Bebo’s Past and Persent at Loggerheads…

Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor are rivals, both, in their personal as well as professional life. While Saif took away Kareena Kapoor from Shahid, Shahid on the other hand grabbed away some challenging roles from Saif. Now, the most latest buzz is that Shahid Kapoor has replaced Saif Ali Khan as the brand ambassador of the product.

Earlier too, Shahid snatched away the lead roles for ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Dream Sequence’, which was originally offered to Saif.

To top it all, Kareena Kapoor’s recent interaction with Shahid did not go well with the Chotte Nawab. This is another reason of dispute between Saif and Shahid.

SRK to “shake what his mama gave him” in an ‘item’ number…

Shahrukh Khan draws no boundaries for him self when it comes to entertaining his fans. The latest we hear is that SRK is all set to “shake what his mama gave him” in an ‘item’ song for his home production Always Kabhi Kabhi that stars mostly debutants. The movie Always Kabhi Kabhi will also be a launchpad for director Roshan Abbas.

The song will have SRK flaunting his super-fit physique that he has developed for Ra.One and Don 2.

The movie is an adaptation of a play called ‘Graffiti’ (1999). It launches four new faces including Zoa, daughter of co-producer Karim Morani. The film, set in a high school, and is about youngsters, their hopes, desires & dreams

Sonali spotted sans essentials… denies allegations…

After Yana Gupta, it’s Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre to be called pantyless babe.

Sonali Bendre grabbed eye balls after she was spotted without an underwear at Karan johar’s party at a hotel in Mumbai.
The actress was wearing a short black mini dress without the essential piece of garment.

Sonali was sitting at the back seat along with Aishwarya Rai and her sister in law. The paparazzi took the images of the pantyless Sonali Bendre and within minutes they were all over the internet. Some of the photographers even managed to shoot her video.

However, the actress denies the allegations and rubs off the no panty rumors.

The denial has come in a statement issued through her spokesperson. The statement says: “There have been malicious reports circulating online about a wardrobe malfunction concerning our client Ms.Sonali Bendre. On behalf of Sonali, we would like to clarify, that there is no truth to the story which has left both Sonali Bendre and her family highly grieved and disturbed.”

According to reports, Sonali was least bothered about it and smiled to the photograpers, who captured her photos and was reportedly yelling out “I am happy because you saw it”.

However, Sonali’s spokesperson clarified that the actress never said anything like that to anyone.

“The story also carries a quote attributed to Sonali which is utterly ridiculous. Our client belongs to a respectable family, is a mother and has always shared a very warm and cordial relationship with the media,” the statement said.

The statement added that the story is being fabricated by vested interests.

“We would like to elucidate to all concerned that the story is fabricated by vested interests that aim to damage her reputation and hence request you to not credit it or encourage it.”

News is that, Priyanka Chopra will be seen along side Aamir Khan in YRF’s Dhoom 3. It is heard that atlks are going on between Priyanka and Yash Raj Films.

According to a source, “YRF has a very good professional working relationship with Priyanka. Yash Chopra and Aditya are both keen that she should play the girl opposite Aamir.”

Adds the source, “Priyanka has acted in many action films. Dhoom 3 has a lot of action. Hence, Priyanka fits the bill.”

Results of The Most Awaited Movies of 2011

As is the ritual each year, this year too, we, at Bollywood Hungama conducted a poll to chart out what are likely to be the biggest blockbusters of 2011. The analysis took the form of an extensive survey (from 12 January to 20 January 2011) conducted online amongst those who really matter - the Consumers. Spanning regions as diverse as India and South-East Asia to the European Union and USA-Canada, the user had to select his/her 5 most anticipated movies. Shahid Kapoor to F-16 IN Super Viper fighter plane

Shahid Kapur will be the first actor in the world to fly the F-16 IN Super Viper fighter plane. Till today no actor has got a chance to sit in one of the fastest flying planes in the world. Shahid will participate in the Aero India 2011 in Bangalore where he will fly the plane on February 11.

A source reveals that he has been preparing for this for the last few months. “He’s gone through rigorous training for the last one month and will continue to do so till his flying date. Apart from the training, there are a number of medical tests that need to be approved before he can actually sit in the cockpit.
The experience will help Shahid prepare better for his role of an Air-Force pilot in his next film Mausam.
Most of these tests are related to flying at a very high velocity and making sure the person doesn’t suffer from motion sickness. Till now he’s passed most of the medical tests and there are a couple more which will happen in the coming days.”

Before he gets into the cockpit he will run a flight simulation test which will be like flying the actual flight in the same conditions. Shahid will fly the plane at the Indian Air Force Station Yelahanka, as a part of the show which goes on air from February 9 to 13.

Other than Shahid, Ratan Tata has been the only other Indian to have got permission to fly the F16. Tata flew a 20 mins sortie in a twin seat F-16 at the 2007 Aero India Show.

Incidentally, Shahid plays an Air Force pilot in his father Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut Mausam opposite Sonam Kapoor. As a part of his role, he’s getting acquainted with the various aspects of fighter planes and also meeting air-force personnel to get in depth knowledge.

Sheetal Talwar producer of Mausam confirms. “Yes Shahid would be flying F 16. Shahid would get the opportunity to feel the thrills, major adrenaline rush that a pilot goes through during course of duty.”

Abhishek Bachchan turns 35 today.

The actor is presently in New Zealand shooting for director duo Abbas-Mustan’s thriller Players. We hear that wife Aishwarya Rai has been quietly planning a surprise for hubby dear even though he’s oceans away.

She and a bunch of Abhi’s close friends would surprise Abhi on the sets of the film and take him out for some knock-out adventure like bungee jumping and zorbing. Abhishek, being an adventure freak, would surely love the surprise.

Every year on his birthday, Abhishek prefers to work during the day and spend time with family and friends in the evening. This year, the unit of Players plan to take a break and make it a day of fun for Abhi and everyone else around.

Priyanka Chopra has never seen cash amounting to Rs 6 Crore…

While speaking at a press conference in Mumbai, Priyanka Chopra said she has never seen cash amounting to Rs 6 Crore, so there is no question of having had it in her house during the recent IT raid.

As to the presence of her rumored beau Shahid Kapoor at her house during the raid, Priyanka said since her mother, who usually stays with her, wasn’t at the house, she asked Shahid, who stays three minutes away, to be there on her behalf.

Priyanka told the assembled pressmen that she was deeply hurt by the unsubstantiated headlines that unaccounted cash totaling Rs 6 crore was recovered from her house.

“You believe in rumors when they run it as front-page news, without checking its authenticity. Neither you ask the accused person whether the allegations are true or not, nor do you substantiate it with any paper work,” she said.

“I had never experienced anything like this before. Whatever happened has deeply hurt me and deeply affected me. I have already said whatever I had to say and we have continuously cooperated with the investigating authorities.”

Priyanka prides herself in being amongst the highest tax payer Bollywood star.

“I still feel proud that I am counted among the few highest tax paying Bollywood stars and hope to be so as long God continues to give me the opportunity,” Priyanka concluded.

Confirms Govinda, “Yes, Salman and I met after a very long time. And we met very warmly” and then quickly he added, “Salman aur mere beech koi problem nahin tha. Partner 2 didn’t take off and people stared talking.”

Pooja Batra files for divorce from her LA-based husband

Pooja Batra has filed for a divorce from Los Angeles-based orthopedic surgeon Dr Sonu Ahluwalia, whom she married over eight years ago.
Over the last couple of years, Batra has been making frequent trips to India, giving rise to speculation that there was trouble brewing in the marriage.
She was spotted at film parties and B-Town events quite a bit last year. She had even arranged for Sylvester Stallone to work in Kambakkht Ishq.
According to the source, “Apparently, Sonu wanted children and Pooja didn’t. She felt that it would affect her figure. She wants a career in Hollywood and has been going for auditions but things aren’t going her way. She has now rented a place in LA where she stays.

Akshay Kumar out, Deepika opts for Rajnikant….

Deepika Padukone has finally chosen superstar Rajnikahnt over Akshay Kumar. Last week, news had it that Deepika was approached for a film opposite Rajinikanth, but the actress couldn’t decide due to unavailability of dates. .But now, Deepy has finally made her choice.

The actress has apparently stepped out Housefull sequel opposite Akshay Kumar and decided to work with Rajnikant (Who wouldn’t want to work with the superstar after the stupendous success of Robot???). Though rumors have it that Akki is not really happy with Deeps, Deepika on the other hand feels the bargain is worth it. However, Sajid Nadiadwala, the producer of Housefull, seems to have no issues with the actress over her opting out from the film. He does understands Deepika’s professional decision and respects it.

‘Let bygones be bygones’: Deepika says to Katrina… They are friends now….

The year 2011 is seeing some of the most inconceivable patch-ups in Bollywood. And Karan Johar’s parties have always been a place for patch-ups. Last year at his birthday bash, Aishwarya and Shah Rukh mended their differences. And this year, KJo’s Tuesday night bash post his Filmfare success for Best Director, proved to be another patch-up venue.

Guess who patched up this time???

Well, They are none other than the gorgeous Bollywood beauties, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif… They finally ended their ongoing cold war and this time, it was Deepika who made the first move.

Both the divas grabbed a lot of attention when they were seen talking at the party. While the two were busy making up for what had happened in the past, their respective ‘good friends’ Siddhartha Mallya and Ranbir Kapoor were standing comfortably far apart.

Says an eyewitness, “Deepika broke the ice. She walked up to Katrina and told her, ‘Let bygones be bygones. Jo ho gaya so ho gaya. I hold nothing against you. I don’t blame anybody. I have moved on in life and am in a very happy space now”.

Revealed the witness, “Katrina was a bit surprised, but she quickly gathered herself and told Deepika, ‘Oh, that’s fine.

The two actresses have not been on talking terms for more than two years. Before this, they had crossed paths on several occasions but had ignored each other completely.

Kangana Ranaut has a secret tattoo inked on her chest. The actress reveals it in her upcoming flick Tanu Weds Manu.

In the movie, Kang plays a bold and bindaas girl who is strictly against arranged marriages. But her parents choose an NRI doctor for her. Kangana is disgusted with this and gets a temporary tattoo inked on her chest which goes with her bold carefree gal nature. The tattoo reads ‘Awasthi’, her boyfriend’s name in the film. There is a scene where she lowers her kurta to flaunt the tattoo on her chest in order to to shock the boy who comes to marry her.
