Duggu makes it to academic book based on Indian Cinema…

Duggu makes it to academic book based on Indian Cinema…
Hrithik Roshan will feature in an academic book based on Indian Cinema. Written by Nandana Bose, an assistant professor for the Department of Film Studies, at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington NC, U.S.A, the subject of the book will be his body. The chapter focuses on how Hrithik has worked on his body, starting from his debut to now.
According to sources, “The writer, Bose, is speaking to various filmmakers who have worked with him and then penning an entire chapter on him. The chapter focuses on how Hrithik has worked on his body, starting from his debut to now. The book also chronicles the decisive changes in the way the male body is represented on the Indian screen. The chapter will draw from scenes in Jodhaa Akbar, Krrish, Dhoom 2, etc.”
The source further adds that, “the book will be made available to all the students to know about Hrithik’s journey and the way he has gone about his character.”
This is indeed an achievement….

Hrithik upset at missing award?

Hrithik Roshan’s performance in ‘Guzaarish’ has been the toast of awards season, with him winning the Best Actor trophy at just about every show. Even it wasn’t always recognised in the Popular Choice category, the Critics Choice award came his way.
But this didn’t happen at the most recent awards ceremony which happened in Mumbai. Hrithik went home empty-handed from the show, as Shah Rukh Khan won the Best Actor Popular Choice for ‘My Name Is Khan’ and Rishi Kapoor got the Best Actor Critics Choice for ‘Do Dooni Char’.
Apparently Hrithik and wife Sussanne left the show early after this disappointment. And while Hrithik didn’t comment openly on what happened, Sussanne took to Twitter to make her feelings known. “Just came back from Filmfare. Sometimes in life we get what we don’t deserve ¦ makes it diff to understand what’s the logic in all this.”

Hrithik Roshan graces Marie Claire… the Valentine’s Day issue…

Hrithik Roshan graces the cover of Marie Claire, Feb 2011 edition.
He has been titled as India’s sexiest man. Marie Claire generally has females grace its cover and only once a year it is a male. This time, the Guzaarish actor has the honour. Being a Valentine’s Day issue, the actor talks about love in the inside pages.
He says, “Love should be the first emotion you discover and learn and grow with.” While about his other love — dance, the star states, “All I can say is when you’re dancing, just let go. Don’t be afraid to look stupid. I don’t have a style; I’m not a professional dancer.”
Like the cover???

Why are Hrithik and Suzzane disappointed???

Hrithik Roshan and wife Sussanne Roshan attended the Filmfare Awards on Saturday night expecting to take home a trophy for Best Actor for a stellar performance in Guzaarish. Sadly, it was not to be.
Adding to their disappointment, the show’s hosts Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan enacted a spoof on Guzaarish. Imran dressed up as Hrithik while Ranbir mimicked Aishwarya Rai.
With a feeling of disappointment, the Roshans left early.
Shahrukh Khan won the Best Actor (Popular Choice) for his role in My Name Is Khan. And the Critics’ Choice Best Actor statuette was bagged by Rishi Kapoor for his role in the small-budget film Do Dooni Chaar.
Clearly, it wasn’t a night to enjoy for Hrithik. The actors Guzaarish may not have been fulfilled, but he turned up for the event with wife Suzanne looking like a winner.
Sussanne later expressed her disappointment on Twitter: “Just came back from Filmfare. Sometimes in life we get what we don’t deserve…makes it difficult to understand what’s the logic in all this.”

Hrithik-Priyanka give off sparks in Agneepath….

The remake of Agneepath is going to be a very passionate flick. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead, we’re gonna see sparks flying between the duo, something, we have never seen before.
Says a source, “Hrithik and Priyanka don’t believe in half-measures. If they’ve to convey intense feelings and passion, they will go the whole hog in Agneepath. If they romanced innocently in Krrish keeping the kids in mind, their togetherness in Agneepath will be for Adults only.”
The remake is being produced by Karan Johar. The original film was produced by his father Yash Johar in 1990, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Madhavi. The same passion and witty vibes were seen between Big B and Madhavi too.
Says a source, “Karan was just a teenager when his father had produced the original Agneepath. He still remembers the fantastic rapport between Mr. Bachchan and Madhavi. That relationship, Karan and his Agneepath remake’s director Karan Malhotra felt, needed to be developed. The Hrithik-Priyanka bonding in the new Agneepath will build on the relationship that Karan had seen between Mr. Bachchan and Madhavi in the original Agneepath. The love story would be the core of the film.”
When asked about the Hrithik-Priyanka rapport, Karan Johar said, “All I can tell you at the moment is that Priyanka is not playing a nurse like Madhavi in the original and she is not playing prostitute either. Yes, we’ve built on the relationship shown in the original film between Amit Uncle and Madhaviji. The new Agneepath is first and foremost an intense love story. There was love between Priyanka and Hrithik in Krrish. But here, we want an unparalleled intensity between them. You’ve never seen Priyanka and Hrithik get so intense with anyone before.”
Well, now this flick really sounds exciting….
